We've been lax on our adventuring recently. The only big adventure was an attempt to visit the butterfly house last weekend, but it doesn't open until March. Such a bummer, because the beauty of a butterfly house is that you can visit a bit of summer in the dark of winter. We visited the battlefield of the North Bridge at Concord instead and took a lovely picture of Carolyn and Sylvia next to a grave. Not cheery, but it was at least an adventure.

The weather is finally starting to turn the corner and I view that as something of a mixed blessing. Winter is fine for running, because the dirt is nice and frozen and as long as it isn't a sheet of ice, you can get good traction. Early Spring just plain sucks. The ticks are out in force and I've already found one (a deer tick!) crawling on me. I went to the hunting supply and they were out of deet. Lame-ass yankee hunters - they'd have Erlichiosis in a heartbeat if they lived in Missouri. Anyways, I'm anxious for things to dry out and for Spring to get done with the mud part.
